On Thursday, 20th June we held a Careers Fair for our year 5 and year 6 children. We had professionals who volunteered from Perkins, Anglian Water, the Police, the NHS, an architect and local councillors. A huge thank you to Dr Ali and Mrs Harwood, parental volunteers, for supporting us. This was a fantastic opportunity for the children as they had the chance to ask the professionals what they enjoy about their jobs and what qualifications and skills they needed to do their jobs. The children were wonderful ambassadors for the academy, one volunteer said, “It was a pleasure. The children were all very polite and engaging.” and another said, “Can you thank the students from me for being so engaging.” We look forward to making this an annual event at Discovery Primary Academy.
